“Helping” professionals may find themselves in situations where they are in danger of being physically assaulted. Such situations require that they act in ways to increase their chances of staying safe. And, they are challenged to do this while representing their agency in an appropriate manner.
This two-part session will help people develop plans for personal safety that are non-violent in nature. Topics include managing the positive and negative elements in the environment, reading behaviors and reacting appropriately and evaluating the safety suggestions from others before including them in plans.
